For all you faithful readers….sorry this is coming a day late! The Mr. and I were enjoying a little R & R at a cabin in Wisconsin with some good friends…and this particular Wisconsin cabin was in the middle of NO WHERE…aka, no internet! So, without further ado…
Total weight gain: I went in for an appointment on Wednesday the scale said I have now gained about 9.5 pounds. Which was actually pretty accurate with the gym scale…so now I can feel fairly confident that the two are close. I asked the nurse about that much weight gain and she said that they usually estimate a woman with one baby to gain about 10 pounds by 20 weeks….so the fact that I had gained nearly 10 pounds by 19ish weeks was just fine. She didn’t seem to think it was too little or too much.
Maternity clothes? Yup. I pulled out this cute little velor suit that Greg bought for me 2 Christmas’ ago and I discovered that if I want it to fit, I must sag the pants in the front considerably. It’s cool….as long as I can wear them again, normally, some day 🙂
Stretch marks? None that I can see 🙂
Sleep: I think I have slept fairly normal nights in the last week. My nose cold got the best of me a few nights….but once I was able to clear my nose long enough to fall asleep, I generally stayed asleep. A few things that are working well: Prenatal Bobby pillow has been a lifesaver. It still feels like we have a third person in bed, but for a bit extra sleep, it’s worth it. Also my new humidifier has helped. I guess I’m asleep while it’s working, but the air has been so dry which also could be a reason why I’m waking up, and having a humidifier has helped some. I continue to have crazy weird dreams…several about school related disasters and one about attending a Lady GaGa concert. All in all, though, I must say the sleep department continues to improve. Don’t be fooled…I don’t sleep amazingly….but little by little, better! That’s all I’m looking for!
Best moment this week: Greg was out of town so I was talking to him via speaker phone. I had my phone resting on my belly because holding it was simply too much work. Greg said something and then I felt one of the babies move….then a few seconds later I felt another move (not sure if it was the same baby or not….I have no idea how they are laying in there)…I’m not saying they were responding to his voice, for sure….but I am saying, it was a fun little moment and to think that they responded to him was really pretty fun. Other best moment…hearing their sweet little beating hearts at my appointment! I love hearing that!
Miss Anything? My normal gym classes. I could probably push it and go, but it’s just not worth it to me…especially with two in there. So gym time has gotten fairly boring between the bike and the treadmill. It’s fine, it’s just not quite as exciting as Zumba or other fast paced classes are.
Movement: Feeling babies move (and noticing) most days…the days kind of blur together, but I do tend to notice them a lot more in the evenings. I felt a few stronger movements from the outside of my belly over the weekend…it wasn’t a KICK it was more like this odd movement that felt like someone was doing a flip in there. Who knows if it was the babies or if it was food moving through my belly…but it was something new.
Food cravings: Nothing in particular. Though a pudding pop does sound delicious right about now. Good thing we have some in the freezer 🙂
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Gender: Only a few more days! Yippie! Cast your votes now. Next Bumpdate will have the big reveal….these babies better cooperate 🙂
Fruit/Veggie Size: Mangoes! Babies are working on their five senses right now. Nerve cells for taste, hearing, feeling, and smell are developing!
Labor Signs: Nope
Symptoms: Back aches. This is self explanatory….and as a result of this symptom I have decided a monthly massage is in order!
Belly Button in or out? About the same as last week. Flat with a little outtie popping out 🙂
Wedding rings on or off? On for now!
Mood This Week: Excited to see our babies! So much anticipation…especially since we haven’t seen them for nearly 10 weeks! I know they have changed so much and I can’t wait to see them!
Looking forward to: Our ultrasound…and a short work week!
