Total weight gain: Well…I weighed myself at the gym this week. If the gym scale and the doctor’s scale are the same, then I’ve now gained a total of 6 pounds….which interestingly enough, is about 1 pound per week since my 14 week appointment (at that time I had gained 3 pounds). For the first time I ever I was happy to have to move the scale sliders to the right…cause that means I’m gaining weight for the babies!
Maternity clothes? Both. Though, I was cleaning out bags of recently purchased clothes and trying to get them organized in my closet (they’ve mostly just been thrown in a corner) and I came across a bag that had a skirt I bought pre-pregnancy. It was a 47 cent (yup…less than a dollar) skirt on major clearance from Old Navy that was an XS. I am happy to report that I tried it on and it fits as long as I put it under my belly (obviously)…I think the elastic waist may have something to do with it fitting…but regardless, it made me happy! Now if it would warm up, I could wear it before it REALLY doesn’t fit anymore.
Stretch marks? None….another successful week!
Sleep: Still not much improvement on the sleep front. This week we tried a variety of things including….sleeping in the guest room (which has a smaller bed, but the bed is against the wall, which I thought may help support my back)….sleeping with a variety of pillows….purchasing an actual pregnancy sleep pillow….moving the memory foam topper to our bed from the guest room…and on and on….still nothing has worked super well. It’s unfortunate, but I guess it is what it is. I’ll continue to test things out, but until then….afternoon naps will continue to be my favorite part of the day.
Best moment this week: Finally having energy on Saturday to get our house in order. I am generally the one to clean the bathrooms and do the laundry (don’t worry…Greg has plenty of other jobs around the house) but I have just had zero energy to do those things. Thankfully, yesterday, I had a spurt of energy and was able to get several things done….it felt great!
Miss Anything? Breathing through my nose with ease. Not sure how many people experience the stuffy nose syndrome during pregnancy…but I’ve got it….and bad. I can’t go 20 minutes without needing to blow my nose again. It’s so, so odd. It’s not a cold…it’s not allergies…it’s just a lot of extra snot chillin’ in my nose. Weird.
Movement: I feel the babies from time to time. I wish it was more often, every day….but truthfully it’s very random. Some days I notice it and some days I don’t. I know they’re moving in there, but I just don’t feel the depending on my activity level and/or my consciousness. If I’m at work, there’s a good chance I will rarely feel them cause I am running around all day dealing with 25 kids…and when I’m not at work, I’m either sleeping or doing other activities (gym, errands, etc.) so there are few times when I’m awake, laying still enough to notice. But, my little butterfly babies woke me up this morning. Unless it was my stomach growling…but I think I’ve figured out how to tell the difference 🙂
Food cravings: Mostly meat or salty things.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: 3 more weeks still we find out! Yahoo!!!!
Fruit/Veggie Size: Onion! Babies rubbery cartilage is turning into bone and they are putting on fat! Woohoo!
Labor Signs: Nope
Symptoms: Exhaustion. I thought this would go away after the first trimester was over….not so much.
Belly Button in or out? In….but almost completely flat. If I lean over it becomes less flat…but even still….it’s not a belly button where you can stick your finger in it anymore…since I used to do that so often . Ha.
Wedding rings on or off? On!
Mood This Week: Ok….I mean, really, I have nothing major to complain about….but it’s honestly been quite the adjustment for my body, so sometimes that can be hard…because I just don’t feel like myself (physically) all the time. I’m reminding myself daily, though, that we’re so blessed to have these babies…so dealing with some aches and pains is the least of my worries.
Looking forward to: Spring Break….wait, that’s still 2 months away. Still looking forward to any break from work 🙂
